In August 2021, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was active in several districts in Nepal, including Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Banke, and Surkhet. USAID is an independent agency of the U.S. federal government that aims to provide economic and humanitarian assistance to developing countries around the world.
